Wilton course classes are designed for ages 18 and up.
Children 12-16 can register in addition to a paid adult registration.
Children 16 -18 can take the course alone but is recommended that an adult register with them. Children 7-12 can take Kakes for Kids classes. Children must have an adult stay with them, however the adult does not have to be a paid registrant.
HOW TO REGISTER FOR CAKE CLASSES
All classes are held at the Rojay Party Store, located at 973 Central Park Ave, Scarsdale, NY (Telephone (914) 472-3331). You must go to the Rojay Party store DIRECTLY to register for classes. I can NOT register you on this site! Registration/Tuition fees are NON-REFUNDABLE so be sure when you are registering that you will be able to attend all sessions per course. I can not carry your tuition over to another class. Due to the high volume of students seats can no longer be "held." Classes fill up fast and are on a first come, first serve basis.
There are four basic Wilton courses: 1) Decorating Basics 2) Flowers and Borders 3) Gumpaste and Fondant.4) Advanced Gumpaste Flowers (coming in Feb 2012)Each course consists of four lessons (2 hours each). The cost of each course is $45.00 plus the cost of the student kit. In order to take Course 2 3 or 4, it is a pre-requisite to complete Course 1. It is strongly suggested you also take Course 3 prior to registering for Course 4. Each course requires the purchase of a kit that includes everything you will need in order to take the class. IF you purchase your course kit from the Rojay Party Store, someone will have to assist you since the course kits are kept on high up on the shelves in the cake aisle and the corresponding books are kept in the storeroom. Please go to the front counter and ask as sales assistant to help you with the kit you need.
If you purchase the kit from the Rojay store, the book will be included in the price of the kit and the book will be given to you the first night of the class...you must bring your receipt with you from the purchase of your kit!
If you choose not to purchase your kit from Rojay, you will be responsible for getting your book from wherever you purchase your kit. or you will have to order it directly from Amazon.com. Michaels does NOT sell the book nor does JoAnn Fabrics, so please keep this in mind!
You must purchase your kit/book and have it with you when you attend the first session!
It is your responsibility to arrive to class on the date scheduled, with the proper materials. It is advisable to call Rojay Party store the day before the class to make sure it has not been cancelled. We will try our best to notify you in case of an unexpected cancellation.
