FLOWER TUTORIALS
You need a daisy cutter, a veining tool and a piece of foam used for fondant and gumpaste flowers.  There are varying sizes of daisy cutters so you can make different sizes for the cake.  Roll your gumpaste very thin and cut out your daisies.  Take one cutout and place on a piece of foam.  With a veining tool, run down the center of each petal making a small indentation.  Set aside and cover with plastic wrap to keep from hardening.  Do this with a second cutout of the same size.  Next brush a little bit of vodka or extract on the back center of one cutout and lay it  on top of the second cutout with the petals off-set.  The vodka or extract will help the two pieces adhere to each other.  With a second color of gumpaste, make a small ball and slightly flatten it for the center.  Adhere with vodka or extract  Lay the entire flower on a cookie sheet covered with wax paper or in a flower former if you want some that have a curve to them.  Let dry.   Sometimes my cutter doesn't make the sharpest edges so if I have little ragged edges on the petals I just take an emery board and file the little ragged pieces off.  It really makes a much more beautiful petal.

Gumpaste Daisies
Here are some pictures.  The first daisy is just one cutout with a center...VERY simple.  The other two are using the method I just described but of varying sizes.  You can mix the two styles on the same cake and it looks very nice.  I used some lustre dust to add highlights and shimmer.  That's strictly optional.  The daisies below are curved with the flower former
